Bioanalytical Scientist

Duties:
This position will assist laboratory efforts for bioanalytical and immunoassay analyses and support in-house bioanalytical workload to ensure high quality bioanalytical data and reports are delivered on schedule.
This position will be responsible to assist with logging biological sample receipt, tracking, distribution/shipment using a Watson Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and processing of samples for bioanalysis.
This individual will also have familiarity with immunological (ELISA and/or MSD) analysis techniques as applied to bioanalytical processes.
Individual will also independently prepare solutions for use in analyses, developing and maintaining records to comply with appropriate regulatory requirements (Good Documentation Practices) and performing simple equipment maintenance.
Individual will be familiar with current Good Documentation Practices and Good Laboratory Practices and will perform meticulous review and recording of data with high attention to detail.
The individual will also assist in routine laboratory activities such as monthly cleaning, equipment calibrations, ordering of supplies, and stocking of laboratory.

Skills:
The individual will perform sample preparation prior to analysis and minor troubleshooting in association with immunoassay methods development and routine analysis of samples in a variety of biological matrices where the resultant data are intended for both internal use and submission to regulatory authorities.
This individual also supports method transfers to Contract Research Organizations.
This individual will function in support of DMPK Bioanalysts to perform highly sensitive and reproducible immunologic (ELISA and MSD) analyses for pharmacokinetics, drug distribution, metabolism and metabolic stability studies in a variety of biological matrices for drug development, as appropriate and according to current industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
The individual will have a working knowledge of analytical chemistry and analytical instrumentation and working familiarity with immunoassay technologies, balances, pH meters, lab mixers, incubators, centrifuges, pipettes, and other general laboratory equipment, as well as, ability to use computers and applicable software.
This individual exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills and exhibits strong interpersonal skills necessary to ensure study activities conducted by multiple groups are executed smoothly and according to protocol.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, immunology, pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology or related field with at least 2 years or more years of experience.
