In this role the RN Research Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of coordinating Oncology clinical trials (both cooperative and industry-sponsored trials), as well as other oncology research activities at Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

The RN Research Coordinator- Oncology role is a wonderful opportunity for any oncology research nurse who is interested in leading clinical trials and working with a wonderful team of very dedicated and passionate clinical researchers at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. Currently, we have a number of open clinical trials in a variety of cancer types. Advocate is also a part of the prestigious NIH NCORP program, which allows AIMMC access to a wide variety of cooperative clinical study protocols.

RN or BSN from accredited nursing program
Previous research required, oncology preferred
Current Illinois RN license
2+ years of relevant nursing experience
Experience or knowledge of clinical research trials
Possess professional knowledge of a wide range of nursing concepts, principles, and practices to perform highly specialized nursing assignments and phlebotomy as well as knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and pharmacology
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, International Conference on Harmonization Guidelines, FDA Guidance
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook) and other computerized programs
Project management skills
Clinical Research Coordinator Certification or willingness to obtain Certification within 3 years
BLS certification
Flexibility in work hours to accommodate research participant visits. Travel to other Advocate sites as necessary and travel to investigator meetings. Ability to respond quickly during eligibility, dose modification and serious adverse event processes. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with established time constraints.
